Dr. Steve S. Hong attained his undergraduate study majoring in Biochemistry and received a BA degree from Cornell University in 1996. Upon graduation, he was recruited by Abbott Laboratories, one of the major health care and pharmaceutical companies, to work as a technical and product researcher in the diagnostic division. In the following year, he went on to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts and received a DMD degree in 2001. While attending dental school, he accepted a Navy Scholarship for his dental education.


Dr. Hong served three years in the Navy from 2001-2004. First year, he completed training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Naval Dental Center Submarine base in Groton, Connecticut. For the next two years, he was stationed at Naval Dental Center in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where he took care of active/retired marines and sailors' dental needs. He also served on the Alpha Surgical Company for 6 months in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.


After completing his commitment in the Navy, Dr. Hong began his private dental practice working as an associate at a large group practice and smaller family practice in southern NJ. In September of 2006, he joined Philadelphia Dental Associates, in Center City, Pa as the head dentist. Dr. Hong enjoys practicing all phases of general and comprehensive dentistry with emphasis on one visit root canal therapies, surgical extractions, implant surgeries and cosmetic and restorative treatments. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.


He is married to a wife who is an optometrist practicing in Cherry Hill, NJ and has a son and daughter. When not at work, he enjoys playing tennis, taking pictures, teaching 3rd graders at church Sunday school, and keeping up with his active son and daughter.



Dennis Fee, DMD

Dr. Dennis Fee

Dr. Dennis Fee is a Philadelphia native and was raised in the northeast part of the city.


He received a B.S. in Chemistry from St. Joseph’s University in 1988 and went on to attend the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. Upon receiving his D.M.D. from Penn in 1992, he remained in the area and has been an associate in offices in Philadelphia and Trenton, NJ. He has been with Philadelphia Dental Associates since 2004.

Dr. Fee has consistently stayed up to date on the latest dental technologies and advancements by completing a wide variety of continuing dental education courses and seminars. Dr Fee has a conservative treatment approach while emphasizing patient comfort and long term welfare. It is his goal to provide each patient with a pleasant experience and he caters to each patient’s individual needs as they may arise.


When not at work, Dr. Fee enjoys entertaining and traveling, both locally and internationally. He enjoys residing in Center City Philadelphia and taking advantage of the restaurants and culture that the city provides. He is active with many charities and also volunteers on several local fund raising and cultural committees.

David Cho, DMD

Dr. Cho received his undergraduate degree from University of Delaware with BS in Biology in 1991 then DMD from Temple Dental School in 1995. He has worked in the Delaware Valley for over 15 years which includes owning and managing his own solo practice to a large group practice in southern NJ. Currently he practices in four of his own dental offices at Philadelphia Dental Associates, Torresdale Dental Associates, South Philadelphia Dental Associates, and Media Lima Dental Associates.


His is extremely passionate about taking care of patients’ dental need. While he travels to four of his practices throughout the week and sometimes works at two different offices a day, his main focus has been taking on complex cases with emphasis on implant surgery, 3rd molar wisdom teeth extractions, partial to full mouth rehabilitations, and challenging root canal treatments. His experience and skill are strong assets to not only providing valuable and insightful 2nd opinions to his colleagues but also finding efficient and effective ways to ultimately restoring patient’s smile.


When he’s not at work, he devotes most of his weekends at his church. In addition, he has taken annual week to two weeks long missionary trips to Africa and South America performing mainly extractions for underprivileged citizens of 3rd world countries. He is an avid sports fan especially for Philadelphia Sixers and loves taking his four daughters ranging from the youngest age five to the oldest age twelve out to movies.


Tommy Cao, DMD

Dr. Tommy Cao

Dr. Tommy Cao received his undergraduate degree from Temple University in 2010, finishing with a B.S. in Biology. Following his bachelor’s degree, he attended Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry to obtain his Doctor of Medical Dentistry in 2014. He graduated with Summa Cum Laude, within the top 10 of his graduating class.


Upon receiving his degree, Dr. Cao stayed with the community to practice in west Philadelphia. Then in 2015, he joined the practice and became an associate in the Philadelphia office. Dr. Cao has the goal of achieving and providing optimal dental treatment that is patient specific. He values patient comfort during their dental visits and strives to meet their dental needs. When he’s not at work, he enjoys playing recreational basketball, volleyball, traveling, weight lifting, and most of all spending time with his wife and family.
